News : Letter to St. Anthony

DearSaint Anthony of Padua...
today is the feast day of St. Anthony, I prayed the office from it, and with a little hope and confusion I was wondering whether this is the one who is the patron saint of lost things. there are many things which I have lost, but couple I was looking for particularly, one was the memory card from my camera I have been looking waiting for it to be found, by some miraculous intervention for months. The second one was recent search for a new visa card, that came in mail at least a month ago, and I haven't activated it, placed it somewhere, and since last few days, the search was on, as I needed it before I left for holidays.

What made this day special?

News : Spiritual Athletes

I know a spiritual athlete. He prays the office five times a day, he runs in the morning, he lifts weights at the gym daily.
I also know few celibate losers, who don't pray even once, some do pray twice a day, because it's convenient and covers the fulfillment of the prayer promise made at deaconate.
I also know at least one, there must be more, who left their priestly ministry for a woman, for she was with their child, then there was a divorce.
I propose a celibate athlete camp this summer for priests who would like to get back in 'shape'. To fit in the rubrics of the world to come.

Read more below, what brought these random thoughts about.

Scandal : From the beach to Episcopalians

Fr. Cutie, a media puppet, who was confessing his beach sins of hanging out with a girlfriend, joined the Episcopal Church. This is where he obedience to his Bishop led him. This is where the paparazzi who sold his pictures to the news paper led him, and ultimately, this is where his love led him. Did God want all this? Hard to answer this question for someone who is not God. There can be an attempt however to give an answer; in the ecumenical era that we are living out right now in the Catholic Church, this is the 'most beautiful sign' of the Christians helping each other in redefining sin. What's sinful in the Catholic bedrock of celibate priesthood, it's not in the Episcopal bedrock of modernism and invention.
Let's chop up few statues, and things will be fine, let's destroy few icons, best burn them, and we will be back at a spotless bride church, Jesus himself desired.
Let's continue the mockery of holiness, and attempt to wear another antique hat.

Father Alberto Cutie cracks a joke while offering his first sermon at the Episcopal Church of The Resurrection in Miami, Sunday, May 31, 2009. The popular Miami priest said that "church is about forgiveness" during his first sermon since leaving the Roman Catholic Church after photographs surfaced of him kissing his girlfriend on the beach.

It sounds like a pandemic, when you read the press release of this organization. Millions of people are dying from infected illegal copies of digital data available on rogue websites throughout China, Russia, Spain and Canada.
